Steal My Social Media Strategy – Reels & IG Live

Are you ready to steal my strategy for using social media to close more clients, show up and SHOW OUT, and take your business to the next level?

If you’re a business owner who wants to leverage video – I’m talking Instagram Lives, Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, you name it – then allow me to drop some major gems in this episode. I’m already fired up just thinking about the results I’ve seen from implementing what I’m about to break down!

Like my student Tiffany, a nurse practitioner in my CCA group coaching program. When she started, she had just 83 followers on Instagram. But after leaning into video and these strategies? She went completely viral, crossing over 16,000 IG followers and blowing up on TikTok too.

Or another client who showcased a past student’s testimonial on an Instagram Live, then made a sale right after hopping off from someone who watched! These strategies allow you to connect and convert through video. If you aren’t taking advantage of this, listen up!

Let me break down the strategy.

The Two Types of Video Content You Need

You need both short-form (Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.) and long-form live video if you’re using social media for your business. Why? Your short-form Reels allow your audience to experience the authenticity of your business. To be taught, inspired, and qualify themselves to potentially work with you.

Reels are great for being discovered by new audiences! The downside is they only give quick glimpses into the full experience of your offers.

That’s where long-form live video comes in. It’s the virtual handshake to really connect with your audience, combat objections in real-time, let them deeply get to know you and your offers. You can’t beat that intimacy.

So the strategy I want you to apply to any video content? Make sure you have two types:

1) Connection Content
2) Conversion Content

Connection content builds relationship with your audience. It’s authentic, relatable, driving engagement. It inspires, educates, and entertains (“edutains”). Maybe it’s storytelling, going off an inspirational audio, etc. The goal is creating that bond.

Conversion content drives sales and revenue. Clear messaging around your offers, strong calls-to-action, designated destinations to take action. This is where you clearly shift into selling mode and allow your audience to take the next step of working with you if they’re ready.

Take an honest look at the video content you’ve been putting out. Are you leaning too heavily on just connection or conversion? Do you have a healthy mix of both? Because you need both for a thriving business!

Some Live Video Connection & Conversion Strategies  

For connection on Lives, build that genuine rapport. Share your business mission and backstory. Showcase your expertise through teachings. Build community by calling out viewers’ names, etc.  

On the conversion side, remove the fluff! Too often we bury the sales pitch under tons of extra info. No, get straight to clearly outlining the transformation of your offer and making a strong pitch for people to buy now.

One powerful way is featuring past client testimonials and success stories. Have a former student join you live to share their experience and make your offer irresistible! Or do a Live Q&A specifically about one of your programs.

Reels too can drive sales if used intentionally. Tease current client’s results (“How I 5xed my revenue this month”). Run limited-time promos (“Two spots left in my podcast intensive!”). Get creative with short, punchy hooks into your offers.
