In the blink of an eye, I went from thriving to collecting unemployment. But here's the plot twist: I realized my purpose wasn't on pause. I launched my business from a tiny corner in my NYC bedroom, armed with determination and no formal business degree. I named the grandma after my business, Vera Jean and decided that the only option was to succeed. 

With a few unemployment checks saved up, I hired a virtual assistant and took the plunge with my first business coach, a four-figure investment that set the stage for my unapologetic online presence. Seeking dream clients brought me to an incredible community of women, and the rest is history. I hit the six-figure mark before my one-year business anniversary, watched my IG following soar by 40K, and curated a community of revolutionary women in my group coaching program.

This journey has been a rollercoaster, marked by both triumphs and heartaches. In February of 2021, just seven months into starting my business, while planning a Zoom wedding to marry my best friend, I unexpectedly lost my mother. Mourning and celebrating love amidst running a full-time business tested me, but I held on with faith. I miss her every day, yet I know she's proud of what we’ve built. She and my grandma are my guardian angels and as hard as it is to believe sometimes, I do know that everything is working out for my good. 

To be honest, I wouldn't trade this journey for anything. Through the highs and lows, my big dreams involve growing this business to empower as many women as possible to bring their dreams to life and book more clients using social media. If I can do it, anybody can.

I've been on quite the journey through the entertainment landscape for over a decade. It all began back in 2010 at the Maury Show, where I dabbled in everything from production to casting and found my way in front of the camera. Fast forward to 2019, I co-created a comedic web series that found a home on BET, and I thought my production career was about to soar. Enter the unexpected guest: the pandemic.
